Overview

The MotoMama is an Arduino shield based on L298N H-bridge driver chip.

You can use this shield to drive two DC motors or a four-wire two-phase stepper motor.  There is an on-board power terminal to receive power for the motors, and will also power the Arduino board.  If power is supplied from the power jack on Arduino board, the shield will get the power form the Vin pin of Arduino and drive the motor using this power.

Since it's desirable to control motors wirelessly for robotics, we've included some sockets to make that easier.  You can directly plug an XBee (or other XBee pins compatible module, like BTBee) and a nRF24l01 module on the board to add wireless connectivity.

Robotics and motor control applications sometimes demand a higher degree of flexibility, so we've included the headers and pins with the shield, but they are not soldered on.  You will need to spends a few minutes with your solder iron to attach the headers before you use this shield.
